PREVENTION PROGRAMS

PAMI (Paediatric ACL Monitoring Initiative) by ESSKA (European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy): Cruciate ligament injuries in children are increasing rapidly. The consequences of these injuries at a young age are, in addition to a high rate of re-injuries, reduced sports activity in the long term and a high risk of the early occurrence of degenerative changes in the knee joint. PAMI is a European database that collects and analyzes data on knee joint injuries in children. The aim is to reduce the number of injuries through suitable prevention programs and to improve the treatment results in the event of an injury.
